Hi i’m Mel!

I am the proud owner of The Wizard of Pawz mobile pet spa. I began working in the pet grooming industry in 2015, at the PetSmart in my hometown. I started as a dog bather, and quickly fell in love with the profession. I soon went on to attain my professional pet grooming certificate. A few years later, I made the transition from PetSmart to grooming in an animal hospital which I loved. I worked at the animal hospital for about five years, while I was also obtaining my bachelor’s degree in neurobiology. From there, I explored mobile grooming and almost instantly realized my dream of starting my own business. Dog grooming has been the most rewarding career I have been blessed to be part of. My absolute favorite part is the lifelong friendships I have made with my clients and their owners. And I can’t wait to keep forming new relationships along the way.

My mission for my business is to give both pets and their owners the most relaxing, stress-free, safest, and high quality grooming service possible. Mobile grooming allows me to achieve this mission in a way that a traditional grooming shop cannot (see “why mobile grooming?” on our FAQ page). Your pet will always receive one-on-one, undivided attention and are never placed in a kennel. They never even have to leave the front yard. This can help comfort even the most anxious of pups, and parents have the luxury of not having to get in the car and drive to the grooming salon. It’s a win-win for everyone.
